Why Springfield XDM Lowers

I understand clearly why there are so many new Glock lowers available. Some are outright cheap now due to the Polymer 80 builds, but what is happening to the uppers from the Springfield XDM that causes new lowers to be available?

GB usually has several for sale that it is obvious that the top end was removed, and the rest ( including case and all other items in the case) along with the fully assembled frame are for sale.

Is there a great swap I am not aware of? Is there an 80% kit that uses XDM top end?

Just curious
