LnL AP - raising it up
Anybody here mounted a LnL AP up on a Dillon strong mount or a home-brew equivalent to raise it up to a comfortable height?
Thanks, Monte |

I have not done what you describe, but I know the strong mount appears to have been made of sheet metal formed on a brake. Most home shops won't have one. Home fabrication seems to me most likely done by cutting eighth inch hot rolled steel plate into the appropriate feet and sides and top, then brazing the parts together with bronze or nickel-bearing brazing rod using a oxygen/acetylene torch. The torch could be small, with steel that size, as long as you elevate the work on some brick or something fireproof that holds the brazing joint suspended in air to keep the heat from being carried away. If you have or know someone with a MIG welder, that would be stronger.

confused
I made my bench heights accomodate my 'style' and presses (I sit at my production bench for my XL650, and stand at my development bench with its three presses).
