Return the forum to it's old format?

Return the forum to it's old self, or leave it in this jumbled mess, that is the question!

Had to vote no, guess I got here too late to see what the "old" one looked like.
This don't seem like a mess to me. What is so different?

Unless you just got here today, how could you not notice?

When you hit the new post button now, only the unread threads are displayed. This just happened.

Normally I hate polls, but this one has merit. I would also like to see how many like the new method of marking unread threads vs the old method.

The old method (yesterday) showed me which threads had new posts since the last time I visited the forum, via the red crosshairs. I don't know what the new method is showing me, but it is useless to me.

To me its like a hurricane hit the Florida panhandle. I kinda know where the exits are in Rt 10 but because the signs are all blown down, Im just not sure which is the right exit for Pensacola!

Oh, put it back. I may not be a conservative, but that doesn't mean I like change.

I was wondering what happened. I figured something had deleted a cookie or something, but after a couple of visits to the forum, I still can't find my way. Why the change?

It didn't appear to be broken, why did it have to be 'fixed'?

So your vote needs to be changed to "yes".

Seriously...why the change? Was there a major outcry by the members for a change because no one liked the old format?

Seems a member with one post requested it. You can read that here..Suggestion: have the database remember visited threads

In all fairness since my initial reactionary outrage I have learned to successfully navigate with the new system. However I still don't like it.

The idea was that the change would be an improvement, with better tracking of unread threads. Since most people don't see it that way, the original behavior has been restored.

Sorry for the disruption, and sorry kcbrown and everyone else who liked the change.
