Id worry more about finding ammo than the extractor being a problem.
I have a 17 that had around 150K on it when Glock rebuilt it. I have a 26 that had over 25K on it when I quit counting, and that was a number of years ago. Im still shooting both. The factory extractors were never a problem. |

I am not familiar with the parts of a Glock 26. The extractor is in the trigger housing? Or you have to have the same generation trigger housing as extractor?

Ejector is a part in the trigger housing, you can change the ejector by just pulling it out and put a new one in. Here is a youtube video explaining how to change the ejector https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYDPVTzVqMQ I have not seen they sell the ejector alone, you have to buy the whole trigger housing. Gen3 and Gen4 trigger housing are out of stock. I am not willing to pull the ejector from the trigger housing of my original Glock 26, I want to buy a gen3 housing, change the ejector and put into the Glock, then save the one comes with the Glock untouched and safe in case I have to put it back. Sorry. |

I found 3 Gen4 trigger housings with the Gen4 extractors on eBay, cheap, and arrived yesterday. Ordered it 2-3 days earlier.

Seeing is believing, never shoot and own a Glock. At the time, everyone told me how reliable were Colt 1911 and S&W659, Welther PPKS is James Bond gun. They are jammed on me. All needed some serious fixing. So seeing is believing.
Look at the thread on S&W459, people said it's very reliable also, not for me(659) until I fixed it. See, I don't give excuse to the gun that needs to break in, that it needs particular brand ammo. If it jam, it jam, simple. Those are just excuses for lacking of margin. At least I want to make sure parts are genuine Glock parts. |

You need to stop worrying on the parts and start worrying on finding ammo.
Im betting you won't likely shoot the gun enough to barely get it broke in, let alone, break something. Most dont. If you insist on changing things out unnecessarily, before theres ever a problem, you will likely bring your prophecy to fruition. AMMO! |

I have no choice, I can't get any parts anyway. All are out of stock, no ejector, no extractor, no nothing.

Looks like you are just gonna have to shoot it and see.

Then comes buying ammo!!!
You guys are hoarding everything up, no parts, no ammo, no primers, not even reloading press and all!!! Looks like I am going to have a "plastic" toy gun!!! One that won't even snap without racking the slide!!!! I am thinking about another "plastic" toy gun!!! Too bad Glock 43 is not legal in PRK. Have to look at S&W M&P9 Shield. hate to look at Ruger LC, it's only 380. |

You didn’t take up the store owner on those boxes of ammo?

Oh yeh I did, they saved them for me in case I change my mind. They are nice. I put my name on the waiting list in some other places already.
Hey, at least I got the gun!!! That's the most important thing. Now, I just need to convince my big boss that I need another plastic toy gun. Last edited by Alan0354; February 6, 2021 at 05:33 PM. |

Glock 43 is legal in CA, but not on the roster. There is a big difference. You can purchase on the face to face market, and some are in new condition, but be prepared to pay over a grand for one.
Like this: https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/....php?t=1681779 You can also find used reloading presses on the second hand market.

Good thinking. Honestly it’s just going to be tough for a while when it comes to availability of ammunition. I’ve had trouble finding some Glock parts myself lately. I like Big Tex Outdoors, Glockmeister, and Midwest Gun Works for online retailers. I’ve also bought parts on eBay when that was the only option or the cheapest option. In those cases look for sellers with many reviews and sellers that primarily sell firearms related accessories (look at the seller’s other items for sale). I’ve generally had good luck. I talked to people in reloading, it's discouraging that I cannot do any of the reloading in the house because of lead contamination, also it would be distracting watching tv to do it. I don't want to be in the garage hours at a time. It's hot and it's boring. |

You are mistaking legal, "within the law" for approved. The roster is for approved handguns that you can purchase new from a dealer, not what is legal to own in California.
Please learn the laws if you want to be a responsible gun owner here in CA. You can load in the house with plated bullets just fine, and turn the TV off!

NO
You can purchase "used" as in second hand from an local person or LEO that purchased it legally. You can purchase through a person to person (in body and flesh at the same place) transfer.
