i finally filled out and sent out the paper work for my c&r a couple weeks ago.
i know this has been asked numerous times but my question is what is out there? i am planning on the TTC and CZ52 for the 7.62x25 and CZ 82 and P64 for 9x18. but most importantly looking for a 1903 colt. im working in south carolina but am a resident of florida and have missed two decent deals on a 1903. which is why i decided to get the license. so any other suggestions?

Some do, some do not. Often they need a little encouragement to accept a C&R because often they don't know what they're dealing in.

People tend to forget sometimes that with the first few posts, new members can feel a little, ah... "exposed".
Most folks here are pretty level-headed... not necessarily objective (what a shock huh?)... but generally not mean spirited.

I have never had a problem with a gun shop accepting my C&R for a C&R fire arm. I carry several copies when I travel and have purchased in several different western states.

1903 Colt, sure do like them.

I made a repro box and papers for this old girl.

i am jealous. like i mentioned before, im working in south caroina and missed out on two here. i still have an option to buy one back in forida, but he wants a grand for it. it is a type 4 with the wooden grips. its beautiful, almost never fired beautiful and he has supposedly owned it for around 40 years. issue is it is parkerized and doesnt have the u.s. property stamp. so that means it was redone right?

Thats way too much. "Beautiful" to me would be a boxed 99%+ gun with all the papers. At over 500k production, keep looking. I have never owned one because they are common yet expensive. I prefer getting rarer 32 autos and rarer colts but if you get a good one for the right price, do it, regardless of rarity.

Well "rare" isn't really the right term. I don't have any rare ones, well maybe one. I moreso have uncommon to scarce 32s.

Here is a Franz Stock 32. They were a post WWI German commercial 32 auto. Not very many were made.



Here is a WWI Langenhan Selbstlader. This one has a unit marking, but does not have a imperial acceptance proof. The identity of the unit mark is a mystery. No one, even Don Maus himself can identify it for sure.




Here is a Steyr Pieper 1908 32 acp. These are Austrian and many were used by the Austrian police including this one. Below it is the 25 acp version.



Here is a neat photo of my American vintage 32 autos. Instead of having the Colt 1903, I have a Remington 51 in 32 auto (scarce) a H&R self loader 32 and a Savage 1917 32 auto.



The rarest one I have is this Walther PP (top). Its a WaA359 Army accepted, hi-sheen (polish) variant from 1941 with a matching SN magazine. It is accepted that a matching SN magazine for a Walther PP WaA359 is a Luftwaffe contract gun.



I have other 32 autos but this is a good sampling of my unusual ones. Most any 32 you find is less common than a Colt 1903. There isn't anything wrong Colt 1903s I just am waiting for the perfect one because there are so many to pick from.

are you familiar with melior? there was one in a little pawnshop i saw, they wanted 175 if i remember correctly. but was afraid to buy something i didnt know about
