Sketchy mobile app ....
Does anyone else find the mobile app. for this forum to be really intrusive ? The permissions it asked for seemed to be asking for way too much.
I'm still new to the world of smart phones and won't download any app. that askes for a lot of control or access. I just don't trust them. |

The forum itself doesn't have a mobile app. You can access it via Tapatalk.
What kind of problems are you having?

Welcome to smartphones. Most apps have overbroad permissions.
Flash Cyanogenmod onto it if you can; CM (at least android 4.3, which is what, CM 10.2?) has per-app restrictions, which google stupidly removed from android 4.4.2 That means you can disable certain kinds of access by an app even if the app expects it. [edit... Yep, looks like you could flash CM onto it if you wanted to.] TFL has nothing to do with the writing of or maintenance of the tapatalk app. We simply have tapatalk support enabled because it's the most popular mobile app.

It's the long list of permissions it wanted access to that I didn't like.
Storage - Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage Affects Battery - Control vibration, prevent phone form sleeping Wants to run at start up . I don't want it to do that. Why would I give that kind of control to a app. ? |

This is TapaTalk?
That's got to be the android or windoze version. The apple version doesn't ask all those questions.
