ramrods ?

why do black powder ramrods have a different thread on each end ?

Some do, some don't, and some only have a threaded end on one end. If it's different on each end, it's got to be that one end is threaded to accept common cleaning brushes, patch pullers, etc. and the other end is to accept a somewhat larger diameter bullet seater. Most of my ramrods are only threaded on one end. It's a lot easier to use an extra cleaning/range rod.
