Walther 380 PP Questions

Looking to get some insight on walther 380 pp serial number 153632s. My father in law gave it to me. Wondering where it was made and approximate year?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Rob

Where it was made should be stamped on the left side of the slide, assuming it's a post-war Walther.

It will probably be marked "Manurhin" and "Made in France" if it's a very early post-war gun, or "Walther" "Made in Germany".
The German made models will have "Ulm" as the city where it was made.

As I recall, the date made is stamped on the exposed side of the barrel.
This appears to be a tiny antler with the year in two digits, and in 62 for 1962.

Many many of the W German marked pistols were actually made by Manurhin in France and finished , proofed and marked in Germany. When German Walthers were back on line they had a heck of a problem getting the French to stop producing the Walther PP, PPK and PPKs line of pistols and for awhile both were being made at the same time.
