AAR Sparrow Defense

I recently had the opportunity to get a few hours of private instruction from Clark Sparrow of Sparrow Defense. The instruction took place at Athens Gun Club but he also has an outdoor facility in the Watkinsville Ga area. Sgt Sparrow is a deputy with the Oconee county Sheriff's department and is a certified firearms instructor.

We started with a SIRT pistol he provided and moved on to shooting my S&W 342 and G26. In the short time we had, Clark helped me with some errors in my form and helped me with presentation from concealment. I learned a lot and had a good time. I intend to sign up for his low light class in December.

Clark is an excellent instructor and a genuinely nice fellow and I can tell he enjoys helping people shoot better. Anyone looking for firearms instruction in the Athens Ga area should consider Sparrow Defense.

The title made me think of that Hitchcock movie "The Birds".

Thanks for the training review.
We should have more of this.
If he has a web site, how about a link to it.
If not, how about info on cost, location, course length, 'etc.

The title made me think of one of these...

I thought, "good luck with that".

Now, that has some of that illusive knockdown power we hear so much about.
