Anyone have experience forming these cases and loading this round?

My reference books say that this cartridge was derived from the 7.92x57mm Mauser case which was used in the ubiquitous Mauser 98k rifle. You may want to look up the case dimensions in "Cartridges of the World" and see if it is feasible to shorten commercial 7.92x57mm Mauser brass to create the 7.92 Kurz cartridge (Kurz is German for "short").

Also, I would bet that Starline makes brass for this; they seem to make brass for nearly everything!

It strikes me that it would be easier to form the brass from 7mm Remington BenchRest cases than something inexpensive (but longer) like .308 Winchester.
