Ammunition 10 gauge

Hello everyone, first of all I apologize if this issue is not going in this paragraph, but I'm new to this forum, I found by chance, and while not quite understand the English language, I think an interesting forum.
I live in BILBAO-SPAIN-EUROPE, and I have much fondness for weapons, for hunting practice.
My interest is about 10 gauge, both regarding the guns, as the ammo, I'm telling you that here in SPAIN, do not know any store that sells ammunition of that caliber, and a month ago I had to move up BAYONNE-FRANCE (about 150 kilometers) to buy 5 boxes of 10 rounds of Remington P10HM4 Turkey Load, and pay 200 euros, I think here's a little expensive.
Let the subject: do you know if you can buy directly from a U.S. store, which send them to SPAIN, or any way to access these cartridges), because as you tell, the problem also lies in the price, but on particularly how difficult it is to find stores that sell in this country.
I appreciate your interest beforehand, and I feel having taken so long (sorry for my English translated).

I do not think you can buy ammunition from U.S. - But you can reload - why not buy reloading equipment - You should be able to equipment and everything else you need.

jmortimer appreciate your interest, and had thought about it, but as I mentioned earlier, here there is not much information on this caliber, and the difficulty is to buy the machine to recharge, to know the extent of powder, whether the primer is the same as the 12 gauge, etc..
Like much abuse, but it would be possible to provide me any website where recharge explain the measures, if I buy the machine to recharge any exporter, or a catalog explaining the topic.
I assume you live in USA so I guess we have easy access to such information (which is to be envied).

Is 10-ga ammunition legal in Spain?

The Remington P10HM4 is premium ammo and is expensive. In the USA is $24/box. That's 176 Euros for 10 boxes. So, your price of 200 Euros is marked-up less than 14%. Ammo can't be mailed to Spain, and International UPS is very expensive, so how would you get it from the US for less than 14%? I don't think your price is too expensive when you consider shipping costs and tariffs.

Perhaps you should try some different 10-ga ammo. Are there any US Military installations near you?... they may have a hunting club open to civilians. That might be a way to get US 10-ga ammunition without going to France.

Welcome aboard! Ammunition cannot , as earlier mentioned, be mailed from US. If your Laws allow, you can perhaps reload, if not nitro-based smokeless, then black powder. Pyrodex or equivalent should be available to you. As an option, you may want to contact your local hunting/outfitting or gunshop. Eley, based in UK, manufactures quality 10 gauge cartridges, and they may be able to order them for you, though again, price may be an issue.

Zippy - As far as the Carib and South America, friends I have that shoot, tell me that ammunition is NOT importable; however places like Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Dominican Republic will provide the ammo. Typically they import or have it done.

SO, to keep it on topic, OP - you might try some of the gun clubs in your area to see if they have the ability to bring in what you're looking for.

WOW! That's some set-up. I'd like to give their monster tower a try. What a contrast, there's the luxury of Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic end of the island and suffering humanity on the Haitian side. It's hard to believe a political boundary can make such a difference on the same island.

OP - (staying on topic) - how does your country view the ability to own ammunition? Can you buy in bulk - like a pallet? or is that limited?

Zippy13 Hello, I appreciate your interest, it is legal in Spain 10-gauge, what happens is that there are very few people who have that caliber, and therefore equal to the principal factories of cartridges is not worth their while export .
I tell you that I care so much: about 15 years ago had a friend (now deceased) who was a sailor, and to scale in the U.S. frequently, he was fond of hunting and a return trip to Spain, brought 2 boxes of Remington that buy from a butcher (that was me) for their private use, but to open the boxes, she realized that they were the 10 gauge instead of 12 gauge, which is what everyone here uses.
Then I told him, and I told him that if I was one for collecting,
to which he gave me the 2 boxes, and they spent about 8 years and have seen that here, there were no catalogs or anything on that caliber, I went to Eibar, a town 50 km. (has a reputation for many years to make 2 guns guns very good), and one of the factories, handle a gun, 2 guns, with which I threw those 2 boxes, and that it went very well but now I'm without ammunition, and I am sorry to leave.
We have no military base nearby, but neither did I know that relationship accounts hunting clubs open to civilians.
I agree with you that might not be able to get the lowest box of shells, but as I say that the main problem is not found.
I will continue with it.

Thanks shooter01; here there armories selling this size (all others do not lack anything, not on weapons or bullets or cartridge factory) also did not know Eley 10 gauge manufactured.
