disable smilies in this post ???
OK, so I'm bored.
Never played with this "feature," but ███ ... would somebody actually go through the "trouble" of placing smilies in their post & then disable them? or, maybe it's more like lockin' the liquor cabinet so you don't get tempted ... Should it really be " ... in this thread" so you don't have to look at smilies everybody else posted? BTW, ignore any smilies that show up here. I'm gonna risk everything, use up my smilie-limit & then disable 'em. Mods, feel free to move this over to software/test area ... :D  |

OK, so that's what it does.
Again, what's the point? One of those built-in things ... ? |

It is just a built in feature. Pretty useless if you ask me.

It could come in handy if you needed to place some symbols together that happened to create a smile. Not a biggie for general firearms discussion, but I imagine that there are boards using this software that cater to things like programming where you might wind up posting some code that would otherwise be a smiley.

I've seen posts that have a smilie right in the middle of a URL. Quite inconvenient to have to decipher.
or or could also appear in a post and unintentionally turn into a smilie. -Dave P.S. Happy Birthday PreserveFreedom! |
