Rifle Locker battery replacement

I purchased a Phoenix Riflelocker some 6 years ago (2005); naturally, the manufacturer apparently stopped making these after my purchase. The rechargable battery has finally expired (Jan 2011) and will no longer hold a charge. Are there instructions to (1) remove the battery; and (2) locations to purchase a rechargable battery replacement? Thank you.

I thought a quick google would answer your question, I was wrong. You will need to access the battery somehow. Break out the tools... Sorry. Once you locate and remove it, there should be enough info on it to start the search process. Since The manufacturer probably didn't reinvent the wheel with your battery, you will likely be able to locate another or a suitable sub.

Found Riflelocker replacement battery - Radio Shack!

Thank you for the advice. I opened the casing, took the exhausted battery out and trekked to Radio Shack to see if they had an appropriate replacement. They did--under $30! My bringing the battery with me was key to an exact match - type, size and connector location, as website searches listed several batteries with similar descriptors but no guaranteed they would be correct fits. Replacement works, and now I'm set for another 5 or so years! Huzzah.
