Question from a new semi-auto CCW user.

I recently picked up a striker fired 9mm, a Ruger LC9s Pro, I will be carrying instead of my present 2" .38. How do most folks carry this gun, round in chamber (it has a fairly light trigger for a striker fired gun), pull from holster and fire? Or empty chamber, pull from holster and rack the slide? Been carrying a revolver and shooting hammer fired semi-autos, this is my first "new fangled" striker fired, no manual safties handgun...

Striker fired pistols have been here for about 100 years, nothing new !
Never carry a pistol with empty chamber that's really a foolish thing - would you ask the perp to wait a minute while you load ??
Practice drawing pistol with finger OFF the trigger .

There was a long winded conversation on this very subject not too long ago.
A search should find it.
And all will be revealed.

This is a current thread on the issue which has been discussed a zillion times in every gun forum in existence.

I suggest the OP read these and ask questions in that one. Having repetitive threads is something we try to avoid.

Thus, closed.
