Crossfire rifle/shotgun

Have you guys seen this crossfire combo. I just seen at the gun show a few week ago and it looks really neat. Wondering if anyone shot one yet?

Could it be a continental (European)Suhl or a CZ "drilling" or rifle/shotgun combo(single shot each) or an exotic anti-intruder US weapons system...go on spill the beans ...please!

[If it is the latter I shoot one in 12GA/223 and have some dope on it}.

How much does that thing weigh? Remember, the Army dropped the 9 lb M-14 because it was too heavy for most soldiers. Bad move,IMO, but they did.

It looks needlessly complicated,and that, in crisis management, is darn bad.

And the cost is more than a custom 870 PLUS an AR,so where is this headed?....

I was just surprised to see it at the gun show. Since I live in CA, SB-23 would have made it illegal I think. AW characteristics,
centerfire, ability to accept hi-cap detachable mag....???

Maybe it still passes in CA because it's pump action Sea Bass?

Yep, both the shotgun AND the 223 operate off of the same pump. Because it's not semi-automatic, it's not affected by SB-23 or the federal "AW" legislation. I don't own one, but I recently had a chance to play with one at a local gun store. There is a large selector that switches the pump action and the trigger between the 12g and the 223. Kinda cheesy in my opinion, and not worth near $2k. I might be tempted to get one just to "play with" if they were somewhere in the neighborhood of $500-$600. It's a plinking/novelty firearm, definately not a true "militia-type" arm, and far from what I'd want in a good hunting arm. You would be better served by buying a Benelli M1-Tactical and an M-1A, and you'd be spending about the same $$. Just my opinion, of course...

I got to see one of these at a gun store a couple of weeks ago. It was dissapointing. The barrel of the .223 is open, so if your hand slips off the pump, sizzle "Ouch!" The barrel was also skinnier than a mini-14. There was only one action bar, instead of 2, I don't like single action bars ever since I broke the one on my twenty+ year old mossberg.

Ergonomically it sucked. It took several hard core gun nuts a few minutes to figure out how to work the action. (No we are not stupid, it was just confusing). The button to switch from rifle to shotgun was dang near impossible to use. Overall if felt weak, cheap, and cheesy.

I thing that a rifle shotgun combo is a great idea. But it could be done a lot better than this thing. Maybe I'm being to harsh. I've never shot one, this is only my opinion from playing with it at the store. But at $1,700, I'll probably never shoot one.
