Is there a definitive book on handgun marksmanship techniques?
I would think there would be a modern book that examples/defines/teaches all of the different techniques of hand-gunning.
Any suggestions? Aarond .

Dunno if this fits the bill aarond, but it's a place to start. I'm sure others will come along and add better info. There's always Enos' book and the USMC book as well.

Tiger McKee's book is pretty good, it covers techniques as well as theories in a note collection form. Hope this helps.

There's one called surgical speed shooting.
I believe it covered everything from stance to grip to reloads. Although to be honest with you nothing beats live instruction. Don't jump into $500 classes though, keep an eye out for good shooters at your local range and ask them for instruction. |

Before you move to any other form of pistol shooting, you need the fundamentals.
Marksmanship Fundamentals are critical to any shooting, be it pistol, rifle, action, or target shooting. I would highly recommend you pick up a copy of the Army Marksmanship Unit's "Service Pistol Guide". It only cost $6.95 from the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). https://estore.odcmp.com/store/catal...4=¬e5=&max= Once you have marksmanship fundamentals down, then you can that that and apply it to any and all forms of Pistol/Revolver Shooting.

"the experts guide to handgun marksmanship" put out by Palladium press (NRA) isn't bad. It covers a lot in a small and affordable package.
