change rear sight on pre 64 winchester 94
I need to change the rear sight it has a marbles buckhorn which I like but it is bent and I can't adjust it. Can I get it off using a brass punch and hammer and replace it the same, or do I need to take it to a smith. I was told a press is needed to remove and install. Thanks

Yup, a brass drift punch and a hammer will do it, but heavily tape the
surrounding area in case ya miss once. Once it's off, just straighten it. Also, the sight will move one way easier than the other...study the direction it was installed and go for it.
