I hate to say it, but my Winchester brass is 0.471 at the base.... Fiocchi and Herters are 0.476.
I’ll be damned! I wonder if it will expand? I wonder how Lapua measures?? |

How it will expand depends on your specific chamber. Have used the Win brass in Win Mod 70, and a CZ with excellent results. The base expands out noticeably, but the dies used do not resize it back down so it is a one time affair. Both those rifles are capable of sub moa with the win brass, hdy 129/140 gn sp's and rl 22.
Have used Rem factory loads in M96 with very good results, but don't remember ever reloading for it. |
