Dick's No Longer Selling
In the news, Dick's will no longer be selling ARs & won't sell a gun to anybody under 21, regardless of state law.

Dick's No Longer Selling
And that’s why I’ll probably never buy anything from them again. Their written statement proves they are only in the gun game for the money, and they have no understanding of the 2nd amendment.

BS announcement.
Dicks Sporting Goods stores actually stopped selling AR style weapons 6 years ago. They have a chain called Field and Stream which opened in 2013 with about 30 stores currently and they will stop selling ARs there. The whole thing is a publicity stunt, nothing more. |

New York Times (among others) today, no more "assault" weapons.
No sales under 21. No hi-cap mags. Includes Field & Stream. Never been inside a Dick's, no idea what their previous policies were. Denis |

I really don't think this changes much. Dicks is notorious for ridiculous pricing unless you want a maverick 88/Mossberg 500/Remington 870. I'm guessing they weren't selling many ARs in the first place. There are just too many other better options.
People are quickly talking about how much business they're going to lose but I think it could actually increase their business. There are plenty of liberal families that still need to buy their kids baseball/football/soccer/lacrosse/any other sports gear. That stuff has higher mark ups than their firearms do. I will say while I don't agree with the decision, if they feel this is the right thing to do, then good for them. |

I've driven by one, to/from my son's house, never felt the need to stop in... This news just affirms my good judgement.

Thanks, Dicks.
I used to simply dislike you, but after this, I simply hate you. |

Dick's is over priced, no reason to buy anything there anyway.
Field and Stream, the Dick's answer to Bass Pro and Cabelas will cease selling the most popular gun in the US? Seems like a great business plan.
