Wilson Combat Compact KZ45 Question

My LGS has a used Wilson Combat - Compact KZ45 at a very low price with five magazines. I decided to pass it because I could not find a single reference about this pistol on the manufacturer's website.

The magazines (proprietary 9 round double stack design) are not for sale anymore and I can't even find more than one or two reviews on Youtube or Google. A few bloggers stated that the model was discontinued many years ago. Some praise the model and some had issues testing the gun out of the box. There does not seem to be a good following of this model on internet blogs.

The pistol was in fair condition ( a few light scratches resulting from inappropriate disassembly by previous owner ) and in what seemed to be very good working order.

I did not contact the manufacturer to verify if they still have parts or service such an old discontinued model.

Knowing all this, would you have risked buying such a pistol?

No. The lack of magazine availability would be a deal killer for me

Define “very low price”.

Five GOOD magazines would probably be enough for anything but a match gun, but the lack of replacements would make me nervous.

Repeating TunnelRat, HOW low a price?

And can you get a test fire before buying?

$799 probably isn't a bad price with five magazines, but I would want to test fire it using all five magazines before buying. That said, it's not my cup of tea -- I'm satisfied with my Para double stack.
