Wear on sear etc
I have a Tanfoglio Stock Master in 45 acp. I shoot light hand loads
almost 100% of the time, and really like the pistol. Lately, the trigger, which was perfect to begin with has shown signs of softening, or "less crispness " i.e. less like a 1911 trigger than when brand new. It is about a year old, has probably 3000 rounds use. Is this a routine thing, and can it be fixed? |

If the sear and or hammer hooks are soft, it’s possible.
If standard 1911 parts are interchangeable, I would consider getting a high end hammer and sear. I have a couple 45’s with tens of thousands of rounds through them. No change. Both Colts. |

Tanfoglio pistols used to have a reputation for breaking sears, but that was thirty years ago; could it be cracked, or otherwise damaged?

If I had to replace a sear, I'd probably install the Henning hammer and sear kit. https://www.henningshop.com/Detail.a...90156&CAT=9249
