Lefever Nitro Assembly Problem
Does anyone know the trick to compressing the hammer springs on the Lefever Nitro SXS in order to slide the drift pin back through the hammers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've never had to deal with that specifically on the Lefever glenjw.
Hop on over to: www.shotgunworld.com and have them repost the pictures of the jig they made to accomplish what you want. |

An aquaintence made a tool to compress the spring when he inserted it. I think he bent a cheap screwdriver ( going back to about 1981 or so) into a shape that allowed him to push the spring up, into the action from beneath while the action was in a padded vise.
