shotgun recoil pad

hi all, i am going to take my wood stocks off my rem 870 express 12ga and replace them with factory synthetic parts. i am also going to replace the recoil pad too.

any help on how to undertake this is appreciated.

Recoil pads are basically grinding the pad to fit the shape of the stock. Some synthetic stocks have screw bosses inside them while others have the pads glued on. If you'll e-mail me I'll scan and send you some pretty good "instructions" for mounting one. George
