Smith Wesson
I have a model 66-4 2 1/2" barrel stainless 357/38 Special S & W revolver. It is in very good condition. So far I have not been able to find much info at all on this firearm. I am wanting to try to sell it but have no clue on value. Can anyone help?

Several new 66 4" models in the $700-800 price range. I always feel about 80% of the new price is OK for used in good condition, so I'd say around $550-600. |

The 2 1/2" might be a little more of a premium
Standard was 4" and they were used by Law Enforcement agencies all over the US in the 70-80's. I think some may offer a bit more for the shorter barrel.

I too, have a S&W 66 w/2.5" barrel. It's a -2 model, and I have the OEM box, papers and tools that came with it.
It has a red ramp front sight and a white outline rear sight. It only has about 50 rds. thru it since new. It is in flaw-less condition. I wouldn't let it go for anything less than $800.00 Just for the record, the older S&W's always command a better (higher) price than the new ones do. |

The Model 66 was built on S&W K-Frame and is also known as the Stainless Combat Magnum. S&W ended production of the Model 66 (the last of the K-Frame Magnums) in 2005 and only recently reintroduced it. At present, new M66's are available only with a 4 1/4" barrel. As such, your M66 snub will command a premium over a longer-barrel specimen (the snubs were less common to begin with) and, assuming there are no major defects with it, I would say should bring at least $600 if not more.

Try SW 60
SW 60 is pretty cool too. Accurate and fun to shoot. Good CCW
