rechambering question

I am ignorant in smithing so please speak in lay terms.I love the savage m-99.I would like to chamber one in the .454 casull or 500s@w for elk hunting and the like.Am I dreaming.Thank you for you time.

Just get one in 358 Win , that will take an elk. A conversion isn't worth the time or expense if it can be done at all.

Reminds me of the customer who wanted us to convert his old rifle to .357 Magnum so it would be more powerful. It was in 7x57.
