22 ppc

should I go ahead and turn the outside necks of my 22 ppc cases?
they are brand new sako brass.and another question whats a good load to
start with? I have varget,h322 plenty of 40gr,55gr match bullets and federal
match primers.the gun is a thompson encore 22 ppc stainless bull barrel
from there custom shop 1 in 12 twist.

Mike the necks to see if they are consistent and no more than .014", preferably around .012" for consistent bullet pull and clean release. If the necks are incosistent in thickness, turn them to reduce the variation. Norma brass is generally very good, so I doubt you will have problems.

Once you have fired the cases, check how much the neck expands. If the neck expands very little, you might want to turn them to allow easier pullet release.
