how do i break down a high standard 20 gauge sears jc higgins

i cant find a model # and have most of it broke down but i cant figure out how to detach the pump slides from the bolt is there a trick to it or maybe a piece that needs to come out first?

My old Sears High Standard 20-ga was like that -- I had the same bother with it as you're having with yours. PM your eMail to me and I'll send instructions for the 12-ga High Standard, as I recall it's pretty much the same.
