Colorado Prairie Dogs ?
Anyone know the p-dog situation around Craig, CO? Dad got transferred there, and I thought if p-dogs were available for blasting there, I'd throw some rifles in for the trip to see him. Thanks.

Well shoot - I lived in Colo for a long time but can't place Craig in my head. That being said - I take it it's not in the mountains. You certainly won't be far from some PDs (may have to ask around for local knowledge), and definitely take a rifle anyway for a chance at a coyote...they were taking over when I was last there (about 5 years ago) and any rancher will be more than happy to let you knock one or two off for him. You'll need more than a .22 for the yotes but most varminter calibers will do.
Sorry I don't have specifics for you |

I don't know about Craig but just north of Craig, over the border into Wyoming, is virtual prarie dog heaven.
You will have to ask around but there are ranches there with thousands of richardson ground squirrels and prarie dogs. |
