Need Load for 200Gr Copper Plated SWC
Looking for load data on loading West Coast Copper Plated 200 Grain Semi Wad Cutters. Need to make major power factor and am going to try Red Dot. I've already tried Winchester 231. Want to see how a faster powder affects the recoil while maintaining approx 850 fps.
Thanks |

Try Red Dot or Bullseye. Both very good powders for 45acp

Load for 200Gr Copper Plated SWC
I have been useing Ranier copper plated bullets for 5 years, now. I use the "middle" load and work up.
Here are a few loads that I enterchange between 200 and 230 grain bullets. 5.0 to 5.9 grains of Unique 5.0 grains of W-231 5.6 grains of W-231 As long as you work up to the "HOT" loads I can see no reason not to use the either the lead or jacketed. Start in the middle. |

Try 4.5 grains Bullseye. Depending on your barrel, it should be right in the ballpark.
Good Luck... Joe
