help with gun laws in iowa
Ok first off sorry if i posted this in the wrong section. i got a misdemeanor simple assualt in 2008 i dont understand the laws fully but was wondering i have not done anything else wrong with in that line and was wondering if i can buy rifle looking to start collecting ww2 rifle and going to the range with them or go deer hunting. If some one could help me shed some light on it that would be great.

Provided your case was disposed of as a misdemeanor (check with an attorney if you are not absolutely sure), you should not be prohibited by federal law. Iowa does not place any additional restrictions on owning long guns.
