James Keenan has passed away ...
It is with great sadness and a great sense of loss that we have to report the passing of James Keenan in December. He was known here as "James K".
Jim, as he preferred to be called, was a great contributor to TFL and many other firearms boards. He was also the moderator of the Firearms Research forum for a long time, and he contributed a lot of his knowledge in that forum even before moderating it. His knowledge of firearms and firearms history seemed boundless. He will be missed. https://www.resthaven.us/notices/James-Keenan |

I learned so much from him and his posts here on TFL and I’m very saddened to hear this.

RIP, Jim.
I'd noticed his absence, and missed his contributions in the forums. When I first found this forum and used the search function I was always happy to see his name in the search results because I knew it was the "real news." |

Ah, dang. Just noticed this. Jim had a lot of very good information to share, and he shared it freely with everyone.
