SP101 front sight

Does anyone know how difficult it is to change the front sight on a Ruger SP101. It looks like it is pinned in place. Thanks for any help!

It isn't hard at all. The only lookouts are to insure drilling the hole in the new sight, so as to hold it tight. If drilled a little off, the sight can be loose.
Also, take care not to mar the sides of the barrel and sight retaining pin.

I usually put a dab of red LocTite or epoxy into the sight slot to insure a tight, no wobble fit.
