Hunters....trouble keeping ATV tires inflated?

Anyone else had trouble keeping their ATV tires inflated?....between cactus and locust thorns I seemed to spend more time fixing tires than hunting. Tire shops cuss me out because of all the "slime" that's been injected. This year I'm ready....got some new 6 ply Essex tires that have Kevlar belts. Suppose to be puncture proof. Anyone tried them yet?

I really don't want to shoot one to test the effectiveness of the Kevlar....but it might make a good project for Mythbusters.

Try .22 dipped in slick 50. Works on some kevlar vest. Have not tried these tires as 'slime' has always worked for me. Not many cacti here in Ohio but we do have locust and such.

I've used the slime http://www.slime.com/ for decades. Sandspurs will put so many tiny holes in your tires that this is the only way to to stay on the track or mow around here.

I also use it in my wheelboro's, bicycles, two-wheelers, pretty much any lower-speed pneumatic tire.

Im guessing if slime doesnt work,you have bead problems

The Green slime brand is the only one I trust. Many refer to "fix-a-flat" as slime and that is simply not the same.

Most of the atvs sold around here, come out with 2 ply tires. They are mostly for throwing away after purchase. I put the 4 ply tires on, and don't have any problems with flats. We have a lot of Bodark trees around here, as well as goat heads, and sand stickers, but they don't seem to bother the 4 ply tires.
I tried the 6 ply tires, but they made the ride so stiff, that they were not worth the money to me. I tried the slime, but with little success on the 2 ply tires, but with the 4 ply tires I don't need to use it.
