Standard versus magnum primers

Is it safe to use mag primers in place of standard primers? This is mainly concerning large rifle. I don't load to the max. This would be for .444, 30-06
type calibers with powders like 4198 for the 444 and slower powders for the 06. I ask this because of supply. Have a supply of mag primers.
Mag primers were usually for large quantities of slow burning powder.

i use cci250 mag primers for all my rifle loading, 270,308,30-06 and 30-338. ive used them since day one so all my loads are worked up acordingly. my oldest son shoots a 270 & 308, my other son uses the 06 and i shoot a 270 & 30-338.

I use the CCI#34 Mil-Spec primer in my 7.62 reloads for my rifles with free floating firing pins instead of the standard primer called for in the loading data. The #34 are Magnum primers, just work you load up from scratch using the mag primer and you will be fine.
