Wurstfest
The Wurstfest in New Braunfels website says no weapons.
But do they actually have 30.06 signage? Someone says that they check bags or have wands. I’m going, but after today, no way am I gong unarmed and defenseless. Anyone have experience lately? Any reports?

If you absolutely have to be armed then buy some sausages and beer at the store and stay at home.

I’m chaperoning a group. Staying home isn’t an option. I guess we are going unarmed. They better have good security, but you know what they say about taking responsibility for your own safety.

I always wonder, and I am sure this has been brought up in numerous other threads: If a business or venue is hostile towards LEGAL gun carriers but said business is in a location where the law permits and endorses legal gun possession, can that business remove you from their premises if they found out that you were LEGALLY carrying? I think if they tried to, that would constitute as discrimination or harassment. I am not really sure how this works, because at the same time, it is their business, and they can probably ask someone to leave if they are wearing a shirt or ballcap advertising a particular political candidate that they happen to dislike. This is probably the only thing that is even more complicated than the giant mishmash of local, state and federal ordinances on carrying guns in your vehicle and such.

Would the business or event organizers be liable/responsible if something should happen due to not only the signage but the proactive (wanding & searching) efforts?
