PA-TFL 22 Pop Fez- Cheap shoot

TheRallyPoint @ http://www.wicenshootingrange.com/

Date - Feb 24th @
Time - 10am-4pm
Place- Wicen's Shooting Range
3179 Mozart Road
Furlong, PA 18925

Cost- $15 per person you MUST have ID on you to shoot at this range.

Range - Handgun Range to 25 Yards

Rifle Range to 100 Yards

Wicen's is a great place to shoot and a very relaxed environment. Joe Wicen is a great guy and he's allowing us to have a shoot there.

This is in keeping with our annual 22LR Cheap shoot..... even though I think it's been 2yrs since the last one..... shhhhh.

Bring your 22LR rifle or Pistol. Yes you can bring other guns, but we've all had so much fun bringing the little plinkers out. I've never seen so much brass on the ground after these shoots and everyone goes home with extra ammo and don't burn a hole in their pocket.

Let me know who's coming so I know how much food and coffee to bring!!

Joe and Lori Wicen are good people

This is a great opportunity to come out, meet like minded gun owners, and support a local family business that is threatened by urban encroachment.

Wicen's is a farm range that was initially developed by two brothers, both died last year, and is being run by the son and his wife. It's in rural Bucks County, South of New Hope and East of Doylestown, with urban sprawl (developers) trying to take every last bit of open space away.

Lori and Joe are strong 2nd Amendment Supporters, and the fee is basically their insurance costs!

All shooting will likely be from the bench, so bring accuracy as a goal.

Come on out and join TheRallyPoint!

I'll definitely have to look into this. Not sure what I have in .22 that is too exciting but I just got a M6 Scout that I would like to try out and this will certainly put my cheapo spotting scope to the test. .22 holes at 100yds, that should be a good benchmark.

Anyone have anything cool in .22? Just a Mauser trainer, 10/22 and I think a Low Wall here (have to find the fore end though). Hoping someone brings one of those beautiful Henry Golden Boy rifles! They look great!

My father in law is bringing the only firearm he owns. A 22LR single shot rifle he hasn't fired since he was a teenager. Almost 45yrs ago.

This should be an interesting shoot. We usually have the most newbies at these.

If you don't have a 22LR you can still come. I'm sure there will be tons of neat things there.

Keep spreading the word.

As an FYI. The club and the owner are on the front lines of the dealing with the anti-gun BS. Some of the locals have been trying to shut them down and people living in the region need to be aware of what is going on. This is the 2nd range that I go to that has to deal with the New Yorker/Phildelphia anti-gun crap.

Come out and check the range out and show your support.

Yeah, that anti-gun nonsense from urban sprawl is what is attracting me the most to this shoot. I saw Twin S in Zionsville get turned into a glorified trap range. I also remember a range in Bucks County on Sugar Bottom rd (think it was off 263).

Holy smokes! I just realized that this is Wicens! This is the first range I ever shot at. I will definitely be there - frankly I am shocked they are still around. My dad offered his legal services way back in the day when they first started encountering negative feedback from new homes going up.

I will try to bring one or two others as well.

Since many people have asked...

We will cancel this shoot if we have weather as cold as it has been lately. Wicen's is not covered and the wind chill there would be dangerous.

We have a few weeks to warm up. Start dumping your global warming pollutants into the air.

Amen to that! If I remember correctly its pretty open to the elements - all treelines and such were way far away.

I see they do trap there too. The only time I ever shot trap was with a machine thrower they had there. Loads of fun. Only $10 for 135 birds - not too shabby.

Seeya around 10am tomorrow.

Dress warm. I think there should be 12-25 people there depending on how chicken people get from the cold.

I'll make sure we have coffee and hot chocolate there.
