Saddle scabbard

My brother and grandpa got elk tags in Montana and I wanted to go along since its probably my grandpas last year of going. But my delema is I want to take my puma model 92 but it has a 24 inch barrel so a standard saddle scabbard wont work. Do you folks know of any custom makers that arent too expensive? Or do you know of any saddle scabbards that will fit a 24 inch rifle? Any help would be appreciated.

Merritt’s Saddlery
PO Box 1516
South Charles St
Salmon ID 83467
(208) 756-4170

I don't know current prices, but his products are of excellent quality.

I have a couple of just what you need, made by Merritt, but they are for left hand

If you want a scabbard that will actually protect your gun, you are looking at a substantial investment.

If you just want something to hold your gun on the horse, check Cabelas.
