Well to answer part of the original question, if 15 people of any gender, age, race, size, whatever attacked me I would shoot and I really think a 5 round .38 snubbie would be enough because there aren't any gangs after me.

I remember the Rodney King riots where the mob pulled a trucker out of his truck and slammed bricks into his head - I would shoot!

If I thought that might happen I wouldn't go anywhere near there unless I had to and then it wouldn't be with a 5 round snubbie but a higher capacity pistol.

I would bet if Reginald Denny (the truck driver) had a NAA mini .22 and shot one person the rest would have ran away fast because they were not after him in particular.

I am no expert in gangs and it might be different IF a gang had a pre-meditated reason to come after me - say I testified against one of them - but, if it was more of a random attack where I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and 15 people decide to jump me then I feel they wouldn't be as prepared or as organised.
