My Dad has an Ithica (sp) 16 ga. side by side that is about 100-120 yrs old. I took it to a gunsmith and he valued it at about $375.00. However he warned me not to fire it with todays ammo because it could loosen up the gun over time and just wear it out. I wanted to get other opinions on this. If it is true, how do I determine what would be an appropriate shell for this gun and where can they be found?
Thanks
OEY
