F -class TR reloads

I am hoping to increase the quality and consistency of my F-T/R reloads and am contemplating going to an "automatic" powder dispenser to throw more uniform charges.

Currently I weigh each charge on a vintage RCBS beam scale and use a trickler.
Eyeballing the lines has gotten a bit tedious w/ 50 + eyes. Loading 200 rds or so in prep for a match is a time monster to boot.

Am I on the right track w/ the perceived advantage of an auto dispenser?

Also, I have heard the RCBS version is the only one that is consistent?

Electronic dispensers are very consistent and relatively trouble-free. My brother uses one for his match ammo loading with very good results, I still use a RCBS Uniflow. Using a single-stage press, an electronic powder dispenser would probably be faster and give you the benefit of not trickling loads.

I have not heard of any issues with the current crop of electronic powder dispensers. Lyman, Hornady and PACT make good dispensers.

I have been using a RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 for my long-range reloads for several years. Always wait for it to beep and then check the weight reading. In some cases, it might be a tenth or two over, I just pick out the right number of granules until it's dead on. With primed and ready to go cases I can load on average 2 rounds per minute with the CM and the weight measurement correct to 1/10th grain.

I have a PACT dispenser-scale outfit that does me very well; but think the RCBS is a nicer piece of equipment.

My SD really dropped going from powder scale to RCBS Chargemaster. Beyond that, you are looking at very high dollar digital scales used in sealed rooms.

I have the PACT and had some scale issues that needed to be corrected before it became consistent, but if they send you a scale that doesn't drift, then all's well with it. Surprisingly quick.

That said, I find these days I often use my Quick Measure. Even coarse stick powder is always within 0.2 grains with it and I can take it to the range for load work up, where the electronic unit has to stay at home.
