Grandfather's service revolver

How may I find some of the history of my grandfather's revolver. I've been told it has a 1910+ manufacturing date. I'd also like to find out the approximate cost of refinishing.

I also inherited an old Webley Mark IV and would like to learn the history of this pistol. Any direction or help would be appreciated.

Pictures from different angles, all the numbers on it, info marked on it, look under the grips for numbers/info, make of gun (S&W, Colt, ect) and anything else you can think of.
You may also want to take it to a gunsmith you trust to check it out and give you some informatin on them.
Many times the value on older firearms goes down when refinished.
Hope this helps.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'll take the pix and gather #'s, but where do I send them?

I found serial # on bottom of handle and on cylider, and on barrel a series of patent dates. Any other numbers you recommend?
