what would be the max charge on a 1851 navy repro with a brass block???

yup, but try 18. I used to shoot higher, but a person wiser than I told me to try 18. What I got was better accuracy, and less wear and tear on the gun. I love my brassers, and shooting reasonable charges is what keeps them going.
