Cool new video on the modernization of the Lever action

I’m not affiliated with this video. I just came across it on YouTube. I thought I would share this as it’s very informative. As I understand it, this is a first in a series of videos that will be coming out on YouTube about the lever action and its transformation in to the modern era.

Well thought out video. But some of his info is a little off. IIRC, Henry worked for Winchester. Winchester didn't trust the design of Henry's new action and wouldn't put his name on it. When it was a success, he took over the rights of the design and modified it a little. So... Henry didn't change the company name to Winchester.

But I enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting the link.

"...some of his info is a little off..." Lotta that on YouTube. Not sure if YT or Wikipedia is worse. It's caused by neither site having anybody who ensures the info posted is correct.
Supposedly, Oliver hired Benjamin as foreman, in 1857, when he opened the New Haven Arms Company. Ben didn't get a patent until 1860. Winchester Repeating Arms Company came along in 1866.
Chuck's write up is pretty good.
