pictures

I just purchased a digital camera and now I would like to be able to share pictures on the net.
I have two pressing question, first, what web site do you photo pros use to host your pictures and second what is the proper procedure to post a pic on a site such as this. I know it's something like"{pic} /image/ {pic}" but i'm not really sure.

Any help would be great.!!!!!!!

Thanks markmcj

keep the files well below 100 K
do not post the raw files from the camera

get an account at www.liquid2k.com

upload the file

use the code [ img ] http://www.images url.com [ /img ]

I use my own web site.(not gun related) I have a special folder I put the pics in.

This is what I do:
1) edit pic in Photo Shop
2) save on comp. or disk in a .jpg format (keep them small 50k or less)
3) up-load to server using ws_ftp_pro
4) In this forum you have to point to whare the pic is located. Lets say the web site is called "cool_guns.com" and it's in a folder called "my guns" and the pics name is 357_mag.jpg

you're command line should look like this.

http://www.cool_guns.com/my guns/357_mag.jpg

NOTE: You don't have to edit in photo shop. This is NOT the only way to show pics.

Example I would want to click the "IMG" button copy and paste
"http://www.cool_guns.com/my guns/357_mag.jpg" and hit "OK".
Then in the reply box will show "IMG]http://[/IMG" and when you hit "submit reply" you're pic will show up.

Also... You can go to "Attach file:" and locate whare the pic is on you'comp. Example: C:/My Pictures/357_mag.jpg. By doing it this way the viewer will have to download the pic. to his/her comp. and the pic. will show up in another window.
