I figured it out!

I posted here about my little Mossberg O/U shotgun. I was told to clean it properly. So today I took it all apart and long story short. It was one of two pins that align the trigger had sheared off. The trigger would not reset. I'll go to a gun shop tomorrow and pick up new pins.
