Colorado IDPA/USPSA/Steel/Tactical Match?
Help! I'm stranded in Estes Park, CO this weekend, but have permission from the boss to shoot a match if I can find one reasonably nearby (making the Ramah and Pueblo shoots I found un-do-able.
Can anybody direct me to a match close (~1 hr away) to Estes Park? Thanks all. -- Ken Escapee from Anchorage, AK Hotel phone number: 970.586.2332 rm 409 ...and no, I'm not worried someone will track me down... |

Thanks fellas. Where is the Weld shoot? Do you know the name of the club or facility? There was no link to it on the linked page...
Can't shoot three gun; only brought two, and I'm pretty sure BUG isn't one of the three. |

If you want to come Sat for 3Gun, you can borrow a rifle and shotgun no problem.

Thanks Zak. I'm probably just going to come for the Sunday USPSA/IPSC match. Probably have to stop at WalMart for some ammo too.
Appreciate the tips, and the offer of a rifle (which I haven't shot since Army ETS in 91) and shotgun. Will I see you at the Sunday match? -- Ken |

Too bad.
What's the thinkin' man's way to get there fastest -- I-25 where possible, since it's 70+ mph? Or all the way to Ft. Collins then across on 14? Also, any unusual requirements or restrictions to shoot as a guest? Thanks, Zak. |

I recommend 34 East down from Estes, through Loveland to I25, then North to Hwy 14 East. From there it's like 20-25 minutes to WCFW.
Getting from SW to NE Fort Collins is a slog you'll rather avoid. -z ETA: No restrictions, just show up and sign up!

Hey Zack. BTW, went on Sunday and had a great time. Nice bunch of guys and gals out there.
Blew the first stage, as the top third of my front sight was essentially missing when the gun came out of the holster at the buzzer. Not a good start... Thanks again. -- Ken Back in Anchorage |
