Quick, simple question?
It looks like I'll be shipping a few rifles back to Ruger and FN, where do you find the boxes that are appropriate for shipping your favorite hardware? This has become quite the pain to find the right boxes.
Thanks in advance!!! JD

You can either ask a local gunshop if they have any to throw out or go to an appliance store and ask for cardboard cast-offs. Bit of packaging tape and voila, box.

Try one of the package shipping stores out of the phone book. UPS has them as do others I'm sure. They would also have the bubble packing to cushion your gun etc. Also they could tell you the shipping requirements if you don't know them already.

You can buy rifle shipping boxes from Brownell's:
http://www.brownells.com They're sort of expensive, but they're specifically made to allow shipping a long gun UNDAMAGED. They also sell special inserts that allow custom fitting the interior to your gun. |
