Point Blank @ galls should be a good place to start....what will be the application? Concealed? or do you need an entry vest? If you just want a simple and cheap carrier for good quality plates, I like the Blackhawk ones for that.

not for concealed. just something to keep at home next to my shotgun. just in case i would have time to put it on. might as well have plates that can stop rifle. i like the steel plates but shrapnel is a concern.

Pointblank Assault One is a low drag, full featured side opening soft armor vest with hard plate pockets front, back and sides.

Dragon Skin, Body Armor...
I'm not sure quite what you are looking for but the new Dragon Skin line is considered the best in regular body armor/protective vests.
For sales or ordering see: www.uscav.com www.safariland.com www.qmuniforms.com www.cheaperthandirt.com www.policehq.com www.galls.com www.actiongear.com www.blackhawk.com . Second Chance had a few DoJ problems & scandals but they are highly rated too. ClydeFrog |

I can't believe you put a link to the low life profiteering CTD here.
Seriously. Their latest thing now is "Invest" your tax return on high cap magazines BEFORE THE BAN!!. CTD never more for me. Ok, rant over, lost myself for a moment. Now, what is regular body armor? Regular compared to what? |

Yeah, I hate it when a company separates a fool from their money. Capitalist pigs offering goods for sale in a free market and laughing their way to the bank when some idiot buys.

Bulletproofme for plates. Get a carrier from anywhere that isnt overcharging. Blackhawk, Condor, Etc.
On a side note, CTD isnt exactly separating fools from their money. Yeah this is a free market but if gas or milk suddenly went up to $75 a gallon you would be mad as hell. And you cant just go somewhere else because I havent found a single place that isnt overcharging for everything gun and ammo related. We are being taken advantage of. Its one thing for one store to overcharge but its something completely different when everyone is doing it.

Looks like a decent deal, but I believe it's soft. I guess you could get a hard plate later to add. Carrier only though, no side protection. |
