Shiney sucker

I have a MK77 in stainless. For some unknown reason, Ruger decided to pay extra to them mirror like polished, and it almost cost me a doe last year. Can I dull the stainless by carefully blasting without worrying about applying an additional finish? Thanks

Yes, but you need to put a rubber cork in the muzzle so you don't blast the inside of the bore or change the shape of the crown. Also, you may see some rust on the stainless after you have blasted it (the factory probably dips them in phosphoric acid to "passivate" the metal), so keep it oiled afterwards.
