AA#5 and #7, Win 231/HP38, Bullseye have always done well out of my powder measure for 9mm and .45 Auto.

Unique is good if you use Lee dippers, but it doesn't meter well at all for me.

No, Unique doesn't meter well. But I've found that +/-0.2gr really doesn't matter in my guns. I just don't use loads that are closer than 0.2gr to maximum.

Ramshot Silhouette is nice and fine I like it. Rex2 is another good metering powder that is real accurate in all my 1911 45 acp and 9mm.Still have to try it in .40SW. The stuff is cheap to 2.2lbs for $21.00.

Powder that meters well

From my original can of AA5 when it first came out, the label said "midrange .38 Special and .45 ACP. It meters very well. Too well—it is easy to spill.

The powders I like in terms of metering are 231/HP38, WST, N310, Power Pistol, Silhouette, AA2, AA5, and TiteGroup. Not making any recommendation to use, just that they meter well.
Never have had a real problem with Unique or Herco and they are great powders.

ANY ball powder will meter the best due to its shape over flake or stick. What brand and flavor is up to you

I would go with 231. It meters well and can be used with just about any handgun.

Hodgdon TiteGroup is my primary powder for all 3 of those calibers ....and it meters very consistently / and shoots cleanly. I have a Dillon 650 as well - with the standard Dillon powder measure - no complaints here.

( I also like TiteGroup in .357 mag and .44 mag as well )...

I might be worth noting that the old AA#5 is different from the current AA#5. If you load the new powder using an old loading manual it will be over charged. I have a old AA#5 container from 1992 and it says suitable for 380ACP to 44Mag. I think the change was around 2003 or so.

231 meters well. Loading with Unique right now. Meters OK but not nearly as well as 231.

Titegroup and W231. Lee's web site states that Alliant's Unique does NOT meter well. Most of your flake powders will not meter as well as ball powders. I use Titegroup in my 38/357, 9mm, 40s&w, and 45acp with good results.
I would have to say that there has to be truth to it or Lee would not state that on their web site.

Titegroup and W231, yes. Meters well and performs well in their respective performance ranges.

Clays, not so much. I like the performance in 45acp, but the Dillon 550 powder measure must be kept VERY clean to meter well.

Lee

smooth metering

I have a Dillon 650 but also use Lee (including the PPM) for odd/new calibers for which I have't yet spent the money for a whole caliber change.
Another vote for 231/HP38. I also use Titegroup for .380 and WSF for .40S&W.
I like Clays for .45ACP but have never tested for consistency.

AA#2 is my favorite powder for target loads and it meters like water through my autodisk with adjustable charge bar.
